The Lowdown
Microsoft OneNote is a robust note taking tool for organizing your notes across subjects in one place. OneNote acts as a virtual notebook, enabling you to create new pages for your notes and organize them across a set of tabs called Sections, much like the tabs in a physical notebook used to separate your notes into subjects. Each page you take notes on is an infinite canvas, allowing you to write and structure your notes however you want. Take notes with a rich-text editor, or draw by hand using a stylus. Connect to other 365 tools like Outlook, SharePoint, and Teams for a seamless workflow.
With OneNote, you can:
- Create and organize unlimited notes across a set of tabs called Sections
- Collaborate with your team in real-time and manage user permissions
- Search for your notes across all Sections and pages in a single query
- Access your existing notes and create new ones on your browser, or using native apps for desktop and mobile devices
- Embed your notebooks into your Teams channel or SharePoint site
- Auto-save your notes and sync across devices
